Here is an interview that I did on WMBD TV this morning regarding our upcoming Haitian piano music benefit concert.
During the earthquake in Haiti, the primary music school in the country, “Holy Trinity Music School” was completely destroyed along with all the instruments there. The musical training given at the school has been a source of inspiration, purpose and income to thousands of Haitians throughout the years.
I am collecting unused music instruments to send to Haiti to replace what they lost in the earthquake. I am also accepting monetary donations to buy instruments that they need and to go towards the rebuilding of the school. If you would like to help out, please contact me at email@example.com.

Millions of children are born with clefts and have little or no prospect of ever being helped. Their parents are either too poor for surgery or do not know that their child’s problem can even be fixed. The Smile Train provides free surgery to poor children in developing countries and provides free cleft-related training for doctors and medical professionals. A surgery that corrects the cleft problem costs as little as $250.00 and takes about 45 minutes. My wife and I raised enough money at our Christmas duo-concert to pay for almost 3 complete surgeries. If you would like to help please look at their website at www.SmileTrain.org.
After the devastation of the tsunami in Thailand in 2004, the American Refugee Committee began a program to replace fishing boats that were lost in the disaster. This was a very direct and pro-active way to help fisherman regain their livelihood after the tsunami. I organized a benefit concert in Iowa City that raised enough money to purchase one fully equipped fishing boat and a second basic boat. www.arcrelief.org.
